The ARGON cabin is also equipped with controlled deformation zones, just like a modern car. The most important is the front of the cabin, which progressively absorbs energy in the event of a collision to protect the crew. Another important deformation zone is the bulkhead wall that separates the cockpit from the engine compartment.<\/p>\n<p>It is a carefully reinforced structure with composite profiles. The ARGON cabin was designed with large pilots in mind, allowing even tall and wide people to feel comfortable. During the design process, engineers must reconcile seemingly contradictory requirements, providing strength without sacrificing flexibility, firmly supporting the cabin with the lift of the rotors, while allowing the rotor blades to rotate freely and be angled in pitch and roll. The mast must be very strong, because the entire structure of the Gyrocopter hangs from it, and at the same time there must be a safety zone to avoid serious injuries in the event of an unexpected collision of the rotor with an obstacle.<\/p>\n<p>Using key design criteria and structural stress tests, <strong>Manufaktura Lotnicza<\/strong> developed a profile that reconciles these seemingly contradictory tasks. The ARGON design can withstand overload stresses on the strut that are several times the force of gravity. In the event of a serious crash, the strut will break away, separating the spinning rotor from the cabin and preventing injury to the crew.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The chassis<\/strong> is a simple design, directly connecting the wheels and cabin, seemingly nothing special. But in every great design, the most elegant solutions often appear simple! In fact, it is the result of numerous calculations, endurance tests and prioritization of objectives to achieve the best active and passive performance, providing uniform shock absorption on rough terrain. At the same time, the chassis provides great resistance in the event of a fall or heavy landing.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Argon\u2019s undercarriage <\/strong> is very wide, over 2.2 m, a distance unprecedented in other gyroplanes. This is very important, because it provides a high degree of stability during taxiing, takeoff and landing, much better than narrower gyroplanes. A camera was mounted on the single tail boom of other gyroplanes and the vibrations were recorded. Two straight tail booms are much stronger, and nearly vibration free. So, the better answer is to add a much larger horizontal stabilizer to solve the push-over issue.<br \/>\nARGON aircrafts have a much wider stabilizer, for maximum stability.
